PetAi

Privacy policy

PetAi is built to be local-first: your chats, your files and the AI keys you enter live on your own PC and phone, not on a PetAi server. This page explains exactly what is kept, where, and what leaves your device when you use a third-party AI model.

Last updated 10 October 2026. Applies to the PetAi desktop app (Windows) and the PetAi Android app, made by Sarabjit Singh and distributed from profithunterguru.com/petai.

The short version: PetAi keeps your API keys, chats, agent history, notes, documents and schedules on your own device. Nothing is uploaded to a PetAi server to make the app work. The only outside parties who ever see your prompts are the AI model providers you yourself choose and connect with your own key, and only for the request you send them. PetAi does not sell, rent or trade your data, and ships with no analytics or crash-reporting trackers.

What PetAi collects, and where it is kept

AI provider API keys

When you connect a model (for example from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google's Gemini, Groq, OpenRouter or another provider PetAi supports), the key you paste in is saved in PetAi's own settings on your device. It is never uploaded to a PetAi or profithunterguru.com server, and PetAi does not read or transmit it anywhere except to that provider's own API when you use that model.

Chats, agent runs, notes, documents, research and schedules

Every conversation, every task the desktop helper (the Agent) runs, and everything you create in Notes, Documents, Research and Schedule is written to local files in PetAi's own data folder on your PC. None of it is copied to a central PetAi server. If you uninstall PetAi or delete that folder, this history goes with it.

What the desktop helper can see

When you ask the Agent to work on something, it may read what is on your screen, open files in a project folder, or run a step you approved. That only happens for the task you started, and only the parts relevant to that task are passed on to the AI model carrying it out. Anything the Agent would do that reaches beyond reading and drafting (running a command, sending a message, placing a trade) waits for your explicit OK first.

Phone pairing

Pairing the Android app with your PC (by scanning a QR code) exchanges connection details directly between your own two devices on your own network. PetAi's website is not in that path and does not see or store your pairing data.

What PetAi does not collect

The app ships with no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting service and no advertising identifiers. There is no PetAi account or sign-up, so there is no central record tying your identity to your usage.

How your information is used

Information stored locally is used only to run the feature you asked for: continuing a chat, finishing an agent task, keeping a note, remembering a schedule, or showing your own research history back to you. PetAi does not analyse your data for advertising, build a profile of you, or use your chats to train a model it controls.

Third-party AI providers

PetAi is a console for AI models, not a model itself. Whichever model you pick for a chat, a document, an image, a research report or a trading question, PetAi sends the relevant prompt and context directly from your device to that provider's API, using the key you supplied, to get a reply. That request and reply pass through that provider's own systems under that provider's own privacy policy and terms, which PetAi does not control and cannot change. Depending on which model you choose, that provider may be OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Groq, OpenRouter, or any other AI provider PetAi has added support for at the time. Read the privacy policy of whichever provider you use before sending it anything sensitive.

If you link a free remote GPU notebook (such as a Kaggle or Colab session) so a bigger model can answer, your prompt is sent from your device to that notebook, which runs under your own Kaggle/Colab account, not PetAi's.

What PetAi never does

  1. Never sells, rents or otherwise trades your data to anyone.
  2. Never uploads your chats, files or notes to a PetAi server as a side effect of normal use.
  3. Never shares your API keys with anyone but the provider they belong to.
  4. Never shows you ads or tracks you across other sites or apps.

Your control over your data

Because almost everything PetAi keeps about you sits in files on your own device, you already hold the keys to it: open the data folder to see it, copy it to back it up or move it to a new PC, or delete it (or uninstall the app) to remove it. There is no separate "request my data" process to go through, because there is nothing held anywhere else to request.

Children's privacy

PetAi is not directed at children under 13, and PetAi does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used PetAi to connect an AI provider account, remove the app or the relevant API key from the device.

Security

Your data's safety depends partly on the security of your own device: keep your operating system and PetAi up to date, use disk encryption and a device passcode where you can, and keep your AI provider keys as private as a password, since whoever holds a key can spend against the account behind it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date at the top of this page will change with it. Continuing to use PetAi after an update means you accept the version in force at that time.
